Thinking of 2011 Already

So the biggest shopping day of the year is this Friday. Hundreds (thousands?) of shoppers will line up at the doors of their favorite stores before they’re even open in hopes of grabbing some hot items for some great prices. Ordinarily, I avoid any shopping on this day at all costs—I tolerate Cyber Monday and its online deals much better.

But weekend passes to next year’s Hangout Music Festival will already be on sale on Black Friday—for only $50. You can get them at The Hangout starting at 8 a.m., as well as at Private Gallery locations in Orange Beach, Foley, and the Eastern Shore.

Music Matters

Music and the beach go together so well…just like peanut butter and jelly (which is also good on the beach at lunch). It’s why I always have my iPod when I’m sunning in the sand, why beach parties are such a hit, and why catching a concert while vacationing at the Gulf is such a fun experience.

Labor Day

Labor Day is in our sights, ready to provide us with some end-of-summer relief after we’ve all returned to work and school after a season of “getting away.” That one-day extension of the weekend gives us the opportunity to kick back and have some fun during the last warm days of the year.
