A Special Guest

The Beachin’ family welcomed a special guest for the Thunder On The Gulf weekend. My eldest son, Robinson, was home on leave for two weeks. He’s a medic in the US Army, stationed in Afghanistan, and we hadn’t seen him since last Christmas. It was great to see him walking towards us in the airport and even better to give him a big hug. We had a great time visiting the dry pits at The Wharf to see the big boats up close. He stayed at Phoenix V for the weekend and had a great view of the races.
It was heartwarming to see so many people stop us at the airport and thank him for his service. If you get a chance to express your thanks to anyone in the Armed Forces or their families please do so. It’s tough for him, and us, to be separated for so long. But as Americans we are blessed to have such fine young men and women who answer the call. God Bless America.
